Venice Theatre invites merchants to special presentation of "Tuesdays with Benny & Friends"
Exclusive event for Venice Merchants to be held Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the Pinkerton Theatre

Venice, FL - Over the past few seasons, Venice Theatre's Artistic Director, Benny Sato Ambush, has been hosting well-attended conversations with theatre patrons interested in getting to know him better (Ambush came to work at the theatre in 2020) and learning more about the theatre in general. Dubbed "Tuesdays with Benny & Friends," the semi-regular event has become an important touchstone for updates about the theatre, especially after Covid-19 and then Hurricane Ian brought about unexpected changes to the theatre's operations. 

In addition to answering questions about how the theatre was responding to the pandemic and sharing construction progress after Hurricane Ian destroyed the main stage Jervey Theatre, past Tuesday topics have included "choosing a theatre season," hands-on demonstrations of how to create scenic elements, and the art of sound design.

September 10th's exclusive "Tuesday with Benny & Friends" is not open to the general public. The guest list is for area merchants only. Topics of discussion will be a Venice Theatre construction update, collaboration with Venice merchants, and a question-and-answer session with plenty of room for suggestions and ideas.

The theatre has emailed and dropped off invitations to merchants. This news release serves as a reminder and an open invitation to Chamber members the theatre might have missed. Event details are as follows:
